Adam where are you? And who told you that you were exposed?
They knew they were naked; but God covered them with clothes.
Hiding out in gardens East of Eden. The old propensity still shows.
But Adonai sifts through the lies and still makes poetry of prose.

Abel’s blood is crying out. Cain what is this that you’ve done?
And Cain went out and built a city and named it after his son.
We started in a garden but now we look for a kingdom to come.
When God redeems every city built on top of an Innocent’s blood.

And the inclinations of their heart were only evil. Evil all the time.
And God was grieved! And then the grieving God did decide:
I will destroy all I’ve created on the earth including humankind
But Noah found favor. The grieving God had Changed his mind.

The people said let us take brick and mortar and lay stone upon stone,
build a tower and make our name great. And take heaven as our own.
And God scattered them across the nations so they could not succeed.
And God still shows his goodness in bringing the haughty to their knees.

Then generations came to pass and Noah’s son had a son who had a son.
And Terah became the father of Abram From whom the chosen people come.
Through him God would bring forth life from withered streams of doubt.
But that is the next chapter in the saga of how shalom shall be brought about.
